Providence College hockey junior forward Tim Schaller (Merrimack, N.H.) was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday, November 7. Schaller totaled four foals in two games to lead Providence to a pair of victories over Vermont. Schaller is the second Friar this season to earn the league's player of the week honors as junior Myles Harvey (Orlando, Fla.) earned the accolade on October 17.

On Friday, November 4, Schaller recorded his first career hat trick as the Friars defeated Vermont, 5-2, at Schneider Arena. He netted two power-play goals and one short-handed score. Schaller is first Friar to score a hat trick since Kyle MacKinnon's three-goal game against Alabama-Huntsville on November 12, 2010. The following night, he scored another power-play goal to help the Friars complete the weekend sweep with a 5-1 victory.

The Friars (4-3-1, 4-2-0 Hockey East) will play two home games this weekend against Alabama-Huntsville, beginning on Friday, November 11 at Schneider Arena. The two teams will complete the series on Saturday, November 12.
