Hockey East Release

It was announced today that Providence College junior forward Tim Schaller (Merrimack, N.H.) was named Hockey East Player of the Month for November. Schaller becomes the first Friar to earn Hockey East Player of the Month honors since Tyler Sims (December 2005).

In seven games, Schaller totaled seven goals (five power-play goals) and one assist to lead the Friars to a 4-3 record, including a 2-1 mark in Hockey East. Schaller also had one short-handed goal and one game winner. He opened the month by scoring his first career hat trick in a 5-2 win over Vermont (Nov. 4). The following night, he added another goal as the Friars completed the sweep of Vermont with 5-1 triumph. For his efforts, he earned Hockey East Player of the Week honors on November 7. Schaller also totaled four points in two victories against Alabama-Huntsville, including two goals and one assist on November 12. He was named Hockey East Weekly Top Performer on November 14.
