Jeff Kilday Named BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - It was announced on Monday, October 12, that Providence College men's soccer red-shirt senior Jeff Kilday (Marshfield, Mass.) was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. The honor marks his first BIG EAST Weekly honor this season.

Kilday earned the recognition after playing a crucial role in the Friar defense that held No. 24 Xavier scoreless on Oct. 10. Kilday also registered one of the three Providence goals in that same game.

Kilday and the Friars return to action on Wednesday, October 14, when they travel to Villanova for a 7:00 p.m. game.
