• Cassidy Carel's tipped in a Kendra Goodrich point shot for the Friars' lone goal.
• The goal was Carels first of the season and Goodrich's first assist of the year.
• Freshman netminder Madison Myers earned her third start of the year and made 15 saves.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS...
• The Wildcats are 1-8-0 (1-4-0 WHEA) on the 2015-16 season.
• New Hampshire is led by junior Joanna Curtis, who has registered 11 points on the season (6-5-11).
• Sixteen Wildcats have registered at least one point during the 2015-16 season. <p• New Hampshire's only win was against Hockey East foe Vermont (Oct. 30). The Wildcats beat the Catamounts, 4-0, at Vermont.
• All four Catamount goaltenders have seen time between the pipes.
• Senior Vilma Vaattovaara has posted 330:34 minutes, a save percentage of .865, and a 3.99 goals against average.
• Vaattovaara was credited with the Wildcat's win vs. Vermont.
• Freshman Hilary Cashin has recorded 78:27 minutes in net and a .815 save percentage.
ALL TIME SERIES HISTORY...
• Providence trails the all-time series 50-80-13 (.480).
• The Providence and New Hampshire rivalry is one of the most intense in the NCAA and dates back to the programs' beginnings in 1976.
• The Friars and the Wildcats last met at the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H. The Friars claimed a 4-1 victory on Jan. 11, 2015.
• In the 4-1 victory, three returning Friars registered a point. Brooke Boquist and Cassidy Carels registered a goal, while Lexi Romanchuk registered an assist.
• The last time the teams met at Schneider Arena, the Friars claimed a 3-1 victory on Jan. 10, 2015.
