Christina Putigna Named Hockey East Rookie Of The Month

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College women's ice hockey freshman forward Christina Putigna (Grimsby, Ontario) was named Hockey East Rookie of the Month, in an announcement made by the league on Dec. 2.
Putigna registered at least one point in each of the Friars' seven games during the month of November. The forward notched four multi-point games. She posted 13 points on 10 assists and three goals, including two power play goals.
Putigna was named Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week in consecutive weeks.
The freshman leads all Hockey East freshman in assists with 11. Putigna is tied for second in point-getting and averages 1.00 points per game.
