PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence track star Emily Sisson (Chesterfield, Mo.) continued to add to her list of awards last month after she was named U.S.A. Track & Field -- New England Athlete of the Month for the month of March.
Sisson earned the award after her performances at the 2015 NCAA Div. I Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. Sisson captured her first NCAA title in the 5,000 meters and collected a third-place finish in the 3,000 meters the following day. With her first and third-place finish she secured an 11th-place finish for the Providence women's track team at the championship.
