PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College men's hockey head coach Nate Leaman announced on Wednesday (Dec. 27) that defenseman Davis Bunz will join the team for the start of the second half.
Bunz (Middleton, Wis.) appeared in 18 games this fall with the Central Illinois Flying Aces of the USHL, totaling two goals and seven assists with plus-6 rating. Prior to Central Illinois, Bunz spent the 2016-17 season with the Chilliwack Chiefs of the BCHL, where he registered nine goals and 18 assists in 49 games played. The 6-foot-1-inch, 188-pound defenseman will wear No. 14 with the Friars.
Nate Leaman also announced that sophomore forward Chase Zieky (Avon, Conn.) and freshman defenseman Jake Ryczek (Ludlow, Mass.) have left the program to pursue other opportunities.
