GAME FLOW & NOTES
- The Friars outshot the Blue Demons 5-1 in the first half. Four of the five shots were on goal.
- DePaul goalkeeper Quentin Low made four saves in the opening period.
- Providence applied pressure early in the second half, earning three corners kicks within the first four minutes.
- Colin Miller (Bel Air, Md.) made a leaping save five minutes into the second half to keep the score knotted at 0-0. He earned his second shutout of the season against the Blue Demons.
- Mac Steeves (Needham, Mass.) made a diving goal line save in the 67th minute to help preserve the shutout.
- Freshman Simon Fisher (Brookline, Mass.) entered his first career match for the Friars in the first overtime period. He remained in the match for the rest of the overtime periods.
- The Friars' best chance in the second overtime came off a header from Steeves. He redirected a cross from Klisman Sousa (Sal, Cape Verde) just over the cross bar with about eight minutes remaining.
