-After a scoreless first period from both teams, Vermont took a 1-0 lead 4:15 into the second period with a breakaway goal from Kristina Shanahan. The goal was reviewed due to a dislodged net but was ultimately deemed as a good goal.
- Vermont struck again for a 2-0 advantage at the 8:57 mark of the third period with a goal from Corinne McCool.
- After pulling
Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) for the extra-man with 1:15 remaining the regulation,
Lauren DeBlois (Lewiston, Maine) got the Friars on the board, 2-1, off a loose puck. DeBlois was assisted by
Isabelle Hardy (Oakville, Ontario) and
Claire Tyo (Massena, N.Y.) on her first goal of the season.
-The Catamounts put one in on the empty net with 8.8 seconds to go, securing a 3-1 win over the Friars.
