-Maine netted a power play goal with only six seconds remaining in the first period to carry a 1-0 lead into the first intermission. Ida Kuoppala scored for the Black Bears after
Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.) was sent to the box for cross checking.
-Kuoppala struck again for the Black Bears, 6:30 into the second period. Kuoppala's second goal, also on the power play, came after
Hayley Lunny (Bedford, N.Y.) was whistled for slashing.
-The Black Bears improved their lead, 3-0, with an unassisted goal from Ally Johnson 7:58 into the third period.

Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.) got the Friars on the board, 3-1, with 1:26 remaining in play. She was assisted by

Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) from net after Peterson's goal, Maine scored on an empty-netter with three seconds remaining, closing the game out at 4-1.
