Men’s and Women’s Track To Compete At Raleigh Relays

Raleigh Relays are scheduled for March 27-29 in Raleigh, N.C.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's and women's track and field teams will open the 2025 outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays, held at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility in Raleigh, N.C., from March 27 to March 29. The three-day event will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Headlining the Friar women will be senior Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) and graduate student Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England). Both women are set to compete in the women's 1,500 Meters. Graduate student Alex Millard (Kent England) will be competing in the women's 5,000 meters.
May, a seven time All-American, is coming off a strong 2025 NCAA Indoor Track Championship where she earned All-America honors in the DMR (third) and the 3,000 meters (sixth, 9:03.51). She has a personal best time of 4:07.00 in the 1,500 meters.
Flockhart, an eight-time All-American, also earned two All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championship in the DMR and the 3,000 meters (15th, 9:12.33). She has earned two All-America honors in the 1,500 meters and has a personal best time of 4:04.98 in the event.
Millard, who is in her first year at Providence after transferring from Loughborough University in England, is a two-time All-American. She earned her second All-America accolade after placing 12th in the 5,000 meters (15:34.36) at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championship. She has a personal best time of 15:18.15 in the 5,000 meters
Leading the way for the Friar men will be graduate student Patrick Thygesen (Brisbane, Australia), who is set to compete in the steeplechase. Senior Michael Morgan (Sligo, Ireland) will be competing in the 10,000 meters.
Most recently, Thygesen earned All-BIG EAST honors after he finished third in the 3,000 at the 2025 BIG EAST Indoor Championship in a time of 8:06.24. He has run a personal best time of 8:33.78 in the steeple chase, which he ran at the 2023 Raleigh Relays and finished third.
Morgan will be running his first 10,000 meters at the Raleigh Relays. In his last race of the 2025 indoor season, he placed 11th in the 5,000 meters at the BIG EAST Indoor Championship. He also won the mile (4:05.04) at the 2025 UMass Flagship Invitational.
