PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced on Tuesday, Aug. 26, that 20 student-athletes have been selected to the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall). Providence College women's soccer midfielder Ahnna Faust (Grafton, Wis.) was among the student-athletes selected to the 2025-26 fall team.

The award recognizes student-athletes who excel in academics, athletics and community impact. Nominees are selected by athletics administrators, conference office staff and coaches. A distinguished selection committee, including ESPN reporter Holly Rowe and analyst Sam Acho, selected 20 student-athletes—10 women and 10 men—to join the 2024-25 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall). The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team is an expansion of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which has celebrated college football players' good work off the field since 1992. With the creation of this program, 60 more student-athletes across all sports and all divisions will be honored annually for their leadership, service and character.

Faust has been inducted into four different honor societies thus far, including the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Health Medical Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi Spanish National Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma Student Athlete National Honor Society, and Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society. In 2023, she was the Pre-Health Medical Honor Society Female Student Inductee of the Year for having the highest GPA. She will serve as the branch President during the 2025-26 academic year.

The senior has dedicated over 234 hours to community service, focusing on healthcare in the Providence area and beyond. Faust began her journey as a patient transport volunteer at Miriam Hospital, where she supported patients in their transition from hospital stays to home care. Combining her passion for healthcare and fluency in Spanish, she served at the Rhode Island Free Clinic, assisting Spanish-speaking patients with check-ins, vitals, paperwork and scheduling to ensure a welcoming and comprehensive care experience. She also volunteered at Clínica Esperanza Hope Clinic, expanding her service to include managing the clinic's food pantry, sorting donated clothing, organizing wellness programs, and distributing over-the-counter treatments. Faust's efforts at both clinics emphasized compassion, cultural competence, and a holistic approach to community wellness.

Beyond clinical care, Faust has contributed to multidisciplinary research, both locally and abroad. While studying in Puerto Rico, she led focus groups exploring physician burnout and elderly abandonment in rural areas, gaining insight into the intersection of healthcare and societal needs. At Providence College, the senior conducted molecular biology research on skin repair and presented her findings at the 2024 American Physiology Summit, publishing two abstracts. She is also co-authoring a paper on Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs), aiming to improve recovery strategies for athletes, bridging her passion for science, healthcare, and athletics while embodying leadership and commitment both on and off the field.
