Women's Basketball Adds Kylah Silver To 2026-27 Roster

Silver averaged 12.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals at UNCW.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's basketball Head Coach Erin Batth announced today [May 16] that Kylah Silver (Greenville, N.C.) has signed an athletic aid agreement and will attend Providence and compete with the team beginning in 2026-27. 
 
"Kylah is very athletic and can play multiple positions," Batth said. "She is an experienced, three-level scorer and a great rebounder. Once again, we have bolstered out transition game, as she will push the tempo. In addition to her basketball skills, she also possesses leadership qualities that stood out to us. We are very excited to welcome Kylah to the Friar Family."
 
Silver, a 5-10 guard, spent the last three seasons at UNCW and has two years of eligibility remaining, having missed the 2024-25 campaign with an injury. She played 56 games during her two active seasons, including 48 appearances in the starting line-up, and averaged 11.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists. Silver registered 35 double-digit scoring games and five double-doubles with the Seahawks.
 
Last season, Silver was the only player on UNCW's roster to start all 31 games and averaged a team-high 33.7 minutes of action per contest. She finished second on the team in scoring (12.5 ppg), rebounding (6.2 rpg), assists (1.5 apg) and steals (1.5 spg). Silver shot 39.3-percent from the field (138-351) and converted 63.8-percent of her free throw attempts (83-130). She scored a career-high 27 points against William & Mary on Feb. 1 and hauled in a career-high 13 rebounds against Presbyterian on Nov. 21. 
 
Prior to college, Silver attended D.H. Conley High School, where she helped the Vikings win two conference championships. She was a three-time Big East AAA/AAAA Conference Player of the Year and finished her career with 1,245 points and 450 rebounds.
