Women’s Hockey Announces 2026-27 Schedule

The Friars will play 10 non-conference and 24 Hockey East games.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's hockey program unveiled its 2026-27 schedule on Monday (Aug. 10). The 34-game regular-season slate features 10 non-conference games and 24 Hockey East games.
 
The Friars open the regular season with a pair of non-conference home-and-home series against Sacred Heart University (Sept. 25-26) and Quinnipiac University (Oct. 2-3). Providence will start on the road in both series. The Friars open Hockey East play at Schneider Arena when they host reigning Hockey East regular-season champion Northeastern University on Oct. 9.
 
The end of October into November will feature six straight road games for the Friars against Boston College (Oct. 10), Clarkson University (Oct. 23-24), the University of Maine (Oct. 30-31) and the University of New Hampshire (Nov. 6).
 
November will feature three Hockey East weekends with matchups against New Hampshire (Nov. 6-7), reigning Hockey East Tournament champion UConn (Nov. 13-14) and Boston University (Nov. 20-21). Friday, Nov. 20 will feature the Friars' second Project Providence game, which will start at 11:00 a.m. The month will conclude on Nov. 28 with the 31st Mayor's Cup when the Friars host Brown University.
 
The first half of the season wraps up with a home-and-home conference series against Merrimack.
 
St. Thomas makes its first-ever visit to Providence to open 2027 for a two-game series from Jan. 1-2. January continues with an away game at Northeastern (Jan. 8), a home game against Boston College (Jan. 15), the final non-conference game of the season against Yale at home on Jan. 18, a home-and-home series against Holy Cross (Jan. 22-23) and a weekend against the Catamounts of Vermont at Providence (Jan. 29-30).
 
The Friars play the final month of the season against different opponents each week. February opens against Boston University (Feb. 4) and at Merrimack (Feb. 5). Providence then travels to Chestnut Hill to face Boston College (Feb. 12) before hosting Maine (Feb. 13). The final regular-season weekend concludes with a trip to Burlington, Vt., on Feb. 18 before the Friars host New Hampshire on Feb. 20.
 
The Hockey East Tournament will begin with the Opening Round on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
 
Game times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date. Admission to all women's ice hockey home games is free of charge.
