PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College volleyball standout Colleen Lee (Sr., Tonawanda, N.Y.) has been selected as the BIG EAST Conference's volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending October 31st.

The senior setter helped Providence to a 2-1 week which included a 3-0 win against Harvard on Tuesday, October 26th, a 3-2 come-from-behind win against Syracuse on Saturday, October 30th and a dramatic, 3-2 loss to BIG EAST leading Notre Dame on Sunday, October 31st.

The loss to Notre Dame snapped PC's seven-game winning streak and gave the Friars a 13-10 overall record and a 5-3 record in the BIG EAST, good for fourth place. The two wins PC recorded against Notre Dame where the first two losses the Fighting Irish had in BIG EAST play this season.

For Lee, it was a record breaking week as she became the Friars' all-time leader in assists and set season and career marks for service aces. The former Sweet Home High School standout set the school record for assists when she recorded 74 in the Syracuse win. She now has 3,701 for her career. Her 13.16 assists per game which leads the BIG EAST is also a PC record.

Lee also became the school's single season and career leader in service aces when she recorded five against Syracuse. She now has 56 on the season and 129 for her career. Her 0.68 aces per game ranks her sixth in the NCAA's weekly statistics.

In the 3-0 win at Harvard, Lee had 48 assists, two kills, nine digs and two service aces. Versus Syracuse, she added 74 assists, five kills, 14 digs and five service aces.
