BOSTON, Mass. -- Providence College sophomore Keith Kelly of Drogheda, Ireland won the 5,000 meter title in a time of 14:26.02 at the New England Outdoor Track Championship on May 16 at Boston, Mass. Kelly earned All-New England accolades while helping to lead the Friars to a 11th place finish with 18 points.

PC juniors Zack Ventress of Spokane, Wash. (fourth - 14:37.52) and Carl Mauro of Hornell, N.Y. (11th - 14:54.42) placed behind Kelly in the 5,000. Also running for Providence was junior Rick Bush of Clifton Park, N.Y. who placed fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 9:17.58.

Providence will return to action on May 22-24 at the IC4A Track Championship in Fairfax, Va.
