Boston University at Providence 3:30 p.m. Glay Field Wednesday, September 16

Boston University (1-4-0, 0-1-0): Boston University comes into this afternoon's game after a heartbreaking double overtime, 2-1 loss, to James Madison on Sunday. Senior back Kara Olivo scored the Terriers only goal of the game. BU's lone win this season came against Colgate, 2-1, in the Colgate Tournament. The Terriers' lone America East loss came at the University of Hartford on September 9th. Scoring has been a problem for the Terriers as they have just six goals on the season. Four players lead the team with three points. In goal, junior Meghan Lynch has played in all five games making four starts. She is 1-2 on the year with a 1.43 goals against and a .786 save percentage. Junior Beth Weisman is 0-2 with a 3.78 goals against in three games.

Providence: (0-4-0, 0-2-0): Providence opens a busy week of action with the first of three home games at Glay Field. The Friars will be looking for their first win of the season against a BU team that edged PC, 1-0, last season in Boston. The two teams have played just twice in the all-time series with each school winning once. Coach Joe Crehan will be looking for some offense as the Friars have scored just one goal this season. PC mustered just two shots on goal against Connecticut last Wednesday and had nine in Sunday's 3-0 loss to Georgetown. Junior goalkeeper Shayna Ross has a 5.00 goals against with a .688 save percentage. Senior midfielder Michelle Caravana has scored PC's only goal this season. The Friars return to home action on Friday against St. John's and on Sunday against Syracuse.
