PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Â The Providence College women's soccer team battled back from a two-goal deficit to tie Villanova, 3-3, on Saturday, Oct. 10 in Providence R.I. The Friars are now 2-2-9 overall, with a 0-1-3 BIG EAST record. Sophomore
Emma Gregorski (South Glastonbury, Conn.) and
Kaitlyn Brady (Covington, La.) each scored their first career goals for the Friars.
Carolyn Hinkle (Millersville, Pa.) tallied the game-tying goal for her third goal of the season.

GAME FLOW & NOTESÂ
- Villanova struck first in the fifth minute (4:05) as Dez Zapata put the Wildcats up, 1-0, in the first half. The goal was assisted by Gabby Koluch on a first-time finish for Zapata off Koluch's free kick.
- The Friars retaliated in the 24th minute (23:03) with an Olimpico from Emma Gregorski to tie up the game, 1-1. Her first goal of the season came off a corner kick that bent into the upper left corner.
- This is the second Olimpico for the Friars in 2026, with the first coming from Jocy Koffi (Abidjan, Ivory Coast) in a 3-3 tie against Rutgers.
- Goalkeeper Caitlin Daley made two diving saves in the first half to keep the Friars tied, 1-1.
- Both teams finished the first half with five shots.
- Villanova started the second half strong in the 50th minute (49:56) with a goal to go up 2-1. Morgan Kotch scored for the Wildcats and Zapata and Avrie Nelsen were awarded the assists. Zapata crossed the ball to Nelsen, who trapped it down to send to Kotch to put in the back of the net.
- Villanova extended the lead in the 61st minute (60:35) as Zapata took the ball down the right sideline to score her second goal of the day. The Wildcats led, 3-1.
- The Friars answered back in the 66th minute (65:09) as freshman Kaitlyn Brady scored her first Friar goal to cut the lead to 3-2. Koffi crossed the ball to Brady who beat the goalkeeper.
- Providence tied it up in the 76th minute (75:08), 3-3. Amaya Coffie (Warwick, R.I.) passed to Koffi, who sent a through ball to Hinkle, where she was able to nutmeg the goalkeeper.
- The three goals against the Wildcats is the most Villanova has given up in a match this season and ties the total number of goals they have allowed this season.
- The Friars outshot the Wildcats 18-16 in total.
- The Friars are tied for first in NCAA Division I for most ties this season (nine).
