Niagara University at Providence College Schneider Arena Saturday, November 18 - 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19 - 2:00 p.m.
Niagara University (5-3-0, 1-3-0): Niagara University travels to Providence College for a two-game series on Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19. Faceoff both days is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Providence's Schneider Arena. This weekend's series marks the fifth and sixth times the two teams have met in the history of both schools. To date, Providence holds a 2-1-1 edge over the Purple Eagles. Niagara enters this weekend with a 5-3-0 overall record and a 1-3-0 mark in ECAC action. Junior forward Stephanie Romain (Aylmer, Que.) leads Niagara with nine points (four goals, five assists). Niagara, currently tied for ninth place in the ECAC, dropped two decisions versus Harvard last weekend, 5-2 and 2-1.
Providence College Friars (3-2-1, 1-2-1): The Providence College Friars return to home action when they host Niagara University for two games on Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19. Providence enters the weekend with a 3-2-1 overall record with a 1-2-1 mark in ECAC play. Last weekend, the Friars dropped two road decisions at Cornell and St. Lawrence. The Friars are led on offense by senior forward Jessica Tabb (Holland, Mass.) and freshman forward Gayle Shalloo (Scottsdale, Ariz.). Tabb leads the Friars with three goals and seven assists. Shalloo has recorded four goals and two assists in her first season with the Friars. Shalloo was named ECAC Rookie of the Week on Monday, November 6 after recording two goals and an assist in a win over Yale and a tie with Princeton.
