The Providence College women's soccer team was defeated, 2-0, against Rutgers on Friday, October 19 at PC's Glay Field.
Rutgers sophomore forward Adrienne Dugandzic (Sicklerville, N.J.) scored a goal in each half to lift the Scarlet Knights past the Friars. The Scarlet Knights controlled the game from the beginning as they scored in the eighth minute and never looked back. The Scarlet Knights outshot the Friars 23-4 for the game.
PC sophomore goalkeeper Caroline Haines (Stillwater, Minn.) made 12 saves in net for the Friars, while Christine Caldwell (Wyckoff, N.J.) stopped three shots. The Friars fell to 5-7-2, while the Scarlet Knights improved to 10-5.
PC travels to Villanova for a game against the Wildcats on Sunday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m.
