Boston College Eagles (10-11/1-3) - The Eagles come to Mullaney Gymnasium looking to win their second consecutive BIG EAST match. Boston College's last two matches were victories over West Virginia (3-0) on October 13 and Quinnipiac (3-0) on October 16. The Boston College offense is powered by senior right side Rachel Bach (Jacksonville, Fla.), who leads BC in kills (299), kills per game (4.10), and hitting percentage (.288). Sophomore Jessica Brizzolara (Arlington Heights, Ill.), the Eagles' primary setter, leads the team with 855 assists. The Eagles won their last two meetings with the Friars, including last season's 3-0 (30-20, 30-22, 30-18) victory at Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Providence College Friars (2-19/0-4) - Providence is looking for its first BIG EAST win in Friday's home match with Boston College. Last weekend, the Friars fell to both West Virginia (3-0) and Pittsburgh (3-0) on the road. Providence was led by sophomore Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshman Katie Fleming (Cary, N.C.) who each recorded double-figure kills in both matches. Cadres and Fleming also lead Providence in kills this season, with 252 and 236 kills, respectively. Freshman Rachel Tucker (Burleson, Texas) and senior Susan Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) have been the two setters used by Providence this season. Tucker leads the Friars with 435 assists while Fanning, with 255, now has a career total of 2,666. This total places her third on the Providence career assist list.
