SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- Seton Hall defeated Providence College, 1-0, in BIG EAST men's soccer action on Sunday, October 20 in South Orange, N.J.
After a scoreless first half, Seton Hall senior forward Vincent Scerbo scored the only goal of the game at the 66:35 mark. Scerbo kicked in a rebound for what would prove to be the game-winning goal.
Friar sophomore goalkeeper Jeff Newman (Northboro, Mass.) made six stops in the loss.
With the win, Seton Hall improved to 8-5-2 overall and 5-4 in BIG EAST action, while Providence fell to 4-10-0 overall and 3-5-0 in league play.
Providence College returns to action on Saturday, October 26 against Villanova at 1:00 p.m. at PC's Glay Field.
