Seton Hall University (4-8-1) * - The Pirates, who play a game Friday, October 17 at Boston College, enter the game against Providence looking to get their offense on track. Seton Hall holds a 6-0-0 advantage in the all-time series with Providence outscoring the Friars, 15-1. In their eight losses this season Seton Hall has scored a total of two goals while surrendering 13. The Pirates are led in scoring this season by freshman standout Rita Massot. In her first 12 collegiate games she has tallied four goals and two assists for a total of 10 points. Senior Jocelyn Dumaresq is second on the team with one goal and five assists, while junior Carley Piagentini has netted three goals for six points. Senior goalkeeper Buffy Wojciehowski has played in all 13 of the Pirates games allowing 18 goals posting a 2-8-0 record with a 1.40 goals against average and a .798 save percentage. * BC game on 10/17 not included in record and stats

Providence College Friars (5-6-3/0-2-2) - After opening the season with a 4-1-1 record, their best start in the last 13 seasons, the Friars have gone 1-4-2 in their last seven games. Providence is led in scoring this season by a trio of juniors, Maura Robertson (Wellesley, Mass.), BriAnne Bruni (Bristol, Conn.) and Lauren Rithchie (Sayville, N.Y.). Robertson has tallied three goals and three assists, while Bruni has three goals and two assists and Ritchie has two goals and two assists. The Friars are led defensively by senior keeper Caroline Haines (Stillwater, Minn.). Haines has played every minute thus far for Providence posting five shutouts with a 1.17 goals against average and a .795 save percentage. The Friars will try to get back on track against Seton Hall, a team they have never beaten, as they look to have a strong finish and qualify for the BIG EAST tournament.
