Women's Ice Hockey Ranked 9th And 10th Nationally

The Providence College women's ice hockey team dropped in both the USCHO.com poll and the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll this week to No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.

The top five spots remained the same this week in the USCHO.com poll, while there were several changes in the lower rankings. Wisconsin, Mercyhurst and New Hampshire each climbed one spot to No. 6, No. 7 and No. 8, while the Friars fell from No. 6 to No. 9 and Princeton held steady at No. 10. In the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll Minnesota, Dartmouth Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth held steady in the top four as did No. 6 St. Lawrence and No. 8 Mercyhurst. Wisconsin and New Hampshire each moved up two spots to No. 5 and No. 7, respectively. Princeton jumped back into the poll at the No. 9 spot after a three-week absence and Providence tumbled five spots to No. 10.

The Friars are back in action on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23 in Orono, Maine as they face the Maine Black Bears in HOCKEY EAST action.
