BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College men's indoor track team competed at Boston University's Terrier Classic on Saturday, January 31.
Junior Dylan Wykes (Kingston, Ontario) led the Friars with an impressive run in the 3,000 meters. Wykes finished first in a time of 7:58.70 to qualify for the BIG EAST and IC4A championships. Sophomore Martin Fagan (Mullingar, Ireland) placed ninth in a time of 8:14.15 and also qualified for the BIG EAST Championship.
In the 800 meters, junior Liam Reale (Hospital, Ireland) finished second among collegiate runners in a time of 1:49.91 to provisionally qualify for the NCAA's. Sophomore Richard Jones (Wellington, New Zealand) ran the 800 meters in a time of 1:52.22 to qualify for the BIG EAST Championship.
Graduate student Adam Sutton (Preston, England) ran the 5,000 meters and finished second among collegiate runners in a time of 14:16.46.
