BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Providence College volleyball team (5-23) was defeated by North Carolina A&T (17-15) by the score of 3-0, at Paul Porter Arena in the Gardner-Webb Tournament in Boiling Springs, N.C., Friday evening. PC lost by scores of 30-20, 30-21 and 30-24.
Friar freshman Nonie Ferguson (Davie, Fla.) turned in a solid effort with a team-high eight kills. Senior Annie Fiorvanti (Northport, N.Y.) tallied a team-leading 18 assists for PC, while freshman Amanda Little (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) had 12 digs. Providence volleyball returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 5th. Remaining in North Carolina, PC will take on tournament host Gardner-Webb at 12:00 p.m., and Lenoir-Rhyne at 2:00 p.m.
