PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer team has announced its spring schedule, which features a total of five games including a match-up against in-state rival Bryant University.
Providence is set to face the Bulldogs in Smithfield, R.I. on either March 27 or 28. On April 1, the Friars will travel to New Jersey to play Rutgers, one of just four BIG EAST teams they did not encounter during the 2005 season. The following weekend, PC will make its way to Quinnipiac to face the Bobcats/Connecticut United FC (CUFC) on Saturday, April 8.
Providence is set to host Boston University, the 2005 America East Conference Champions, on Saturday, April 22 and will round out its spring competition the following Saturday with an Alumni Event featuring FC DELCO Fury/Oakwood on the 29th.
"We've put together a very competitive schedule for this spring and I'm excited about the level of play we will be facing," said Head Coach Jim McGirr. "Its a fantastic opportunity for our players to further develop, both as individuals and as a team."
