Men's Hockey Announces 2008 Promotions

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Athletic Department is pleased to announce upcoming promotions at Friar Men's Hockey games. Get ready for an action packed second half of the season when the Friars host 10 exciting HOCKEY EAST regular-season games at Schneider Arena to kick-off the New Year. Be sure to cheer on your men's hockey team as they compete for a HOCKEY EAST Championship and a national title!

The most anticipated giveaway this season will take place on Saturday, January 26th when Providence takes on Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. The first 1,500 people will receive a free Friar Mr. Potato Head doll at the game. Don't miss your chance to receive a collectible that will last a lifetime when the Friars face the Huskies on the 26th of January. Be sure to get there early in order to receive your free Friar Mr. Potato Head.

On Friday, February 8th, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Friartown decal with the Skating Friar, when Providence takes on the Catamounts of Vermont at 7:00 p.m. These decals will look great on the back of your car or anywhere that you can display Friartown!

On Saturday, February 9th, all kids who are members of the Friar Kids Club will receive free admission to the game. Providence will face Vermont again in the final game of a two-game home stand against the Catamounts. Any child who is not yet a member of the Friar Kids Club should call 865-1733 and sign up today!
