STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Providence College women's volleyball fell to Stony Brook in America East action, 3-0, on October 16 in Stony Brook, N.Y. Stony Brook won in straight sets, 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.
Lauren Fletcher (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Colleen McCollom (Indian Head Park, Ill.) each recorded a team-best six kills in the match. Carly Morrison (Larkspur, Calif.) added 24 assists, four kills and four digs for Providence.
The Seawolves had two players with double-digit kills in Evann Slaughter (14) and Alicia Nelson (12). Kelsey Sullivan posted 43 of Stony Brook's 46 assists on the day. Laura Hathaway and Nelson recorded 16 and 10 digs, respectively.
The Friars return to action on Wednesday, October 19 against Bryant University at 7:00 p.m. The match will be played at Alumni Hall/Mullaney Gymnasium in Providence, R.I.
