PROVIDENCE, R.I. --The Providence College volleyball team (1-23, 0-6) fell at home on Sunday, October 14 to the Albany Great Danes (9-11, 6-0) in straight sets 25-9, 25-13 and 25-16 in Providence, R.I.
For the Friars, sophomores Colleen McCollom (Indian Head Park, Ill.) and Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) led the team in kills, with eight, and assists, with 16, respectively. Senior Cassie Muzzonigro (Gibsonia, Pa.) led the team with 12 digs. Albany was led by Sara Pope with 14 kills and Gabby Whitworth who had a game-high 35 assists.
The Friars will play their next game at home on Saturday, October 20 at 4:00 p.m. when they host conference rival New Hampshire.
