LEWISBURG, Pa. --The Providence College volleyball team (1-15) fell to the Fordham University Rams (7-9) in straight sets, 25-16, 27-25 and 25-16 on Saturday, September 15 in Lewisburg, Pa.
Senior Cassie Muzzonigro (Gibsonia, Pa.) led the Friars with 10 digs, while sophomore Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) led the team with eight kills while collecting three digs. Freshman Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) had a strong overall game notching four kills, five digs and leading the Friars with 21 assists.
The Friars will play host Bucknell at 12:00 p.m. later today, Saturday, September 15 to close out the Bucknell University Tournament.
Providence will play its first match at home this season on Sunday, October 7 versus America East foe Stony Brook. This match will mark the first athletic event played in the renovated Mullaney Gymnasium in Alumni Hall.
