LEWISBURG, Pa. --The Providence College volleyball team (1-16) was swept by Bucknell (5-7) 25-22, 25-11 and 25-16 on Saturday, September 15 in Lewisburg, Pa. in their final match of the Bucknell University Tournament.

Sophomore Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) had a match-high 12 digs and added seven kills. Freshman Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) had a strong overall game notching four kills, five digs and leading the Friars with 17 assists. Anna Russian(Round Rock, Texas) led the team with eight kills. Senior Cassie Muzzonigro (Gibsonia, Pa.) was named to the All-Tournament team after collecting 42 digs over three matches.

The Friars will open conference play next Saturday, September 22 when they travel to Durham, N.H. to play the University of New Hampshire Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. The match will also be the first conference game of the season for the Wildcats.

Providence will play its first match at home this season on Sunday, October 7 versus America East foe Stony Brook. This match will mark the first athletic event played in the renovated Mullaney Gymnasium in Alumni Hall.
