CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --The Providence College volleyball team (1-10) was swept (25-23, 25-15 and 25-13) by Northern Kentucky (8-0) in the Harvard Tournament on Friday, September 7.
Sophomores Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) and Kelly Ashmore (St. Louis, Mo.) each collected seven digs for the Friars along with 10 and eight kills respectively. Sophomore Anna Russian (Round Rock, Texas) picked up seven kills, while freshman Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) notched 27 assists.
The Friars will look to rebound Saturday, September 8 with matches against host Harvard at 1:00 p.m. and Manhattan at 4:00 p.m.
Providence will play its first match at home this season on Sunday, October 7 versus America East foe Stony Brook. This match will mark the first athletic event played in the renovated Mullaney Gymnasium in Alumni Hall.
