CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --The Providence College volleyball team (1-11) fell in three sets (25-20, 25-13 and 25-16) to Harvard (2-3) in the Harvard Tournament in their first of two matches on Saturday, September 8.
Sophomore Colleen McCollom (Indian Head Park, Ill.) led the Friars with 10 kills and added four digs, while sophomore Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) picked up eight kills and four digs. Senior Cassie Muzzonigro (Gibsonia, Pa.) led the Friars with eight digs and freshman Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) led all players with 25 assists.
The Friars will play their final match of the Harvard Tournament, Saturday, September 8 versus the Manhattan Jaspers at 4:00 p.m.
Providence will play its first match at home this season on Sunday, October 7 versus America East foe Stony Brook. This match will mark the first athletic event played in the renovated Mullaney Gymnasium in Alumni Hall.
