TALKING POINTS
After a stretch of seven consecutive Hockey East games, the Friars play host to Army on Tuesday night (Nov. 25) in a non-conference tilt at Schneider Arena.
The Friars are coming off a 1-0 win over New Hampshire on Saturday night (Nov. 22) and have won two of their last three games and are 4-2-0 in their last six games.
Tuesday night's game will mark Army's first trip to Schneider Arena since Providence posted 6-2 win on Feb. 12, 1999.
The Friars are 10-0-1 in the teams' last 11 meetings and 16-7-1 all-time, dating back to a 6-3 Providence win at the Smith Rink (1/7/53).
After going 4-for-4 against New Hampshire last Saturday night (Nov. 22), the Friar penalty kill has killed off 22 consecutive opponent power-play opportunities (dating back to Nov. 7 vs. Merrimack).
Junior
Trevor Mingoia has six points in the last five games (3-3-6) and he has a three-game point streak (2-2-4).
Mingoia also has two game-winning goals in Providence's last three games (he played the first 52 games of his collegiate career without netting a game winner).
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS
Army enters Tuesday night with a 3-8-2 overall record and a 3-7-2 mark in Atlantic Hockey play.
Last weekend, the Black Knights dropped a pair of games at Niagara, falling 3-1 on Friday (Nov. 21) and 6-1 on Saturday ( Nov. 22).
Freshman forward Tyler Pham (power play) and senior forward Josh Richards scored the Army goals against Niagara.
For the season, Pham leads the Black Knights in goals (5), assists (7) and points (12).
In net, sophomore Parker Gahagen (nine games played) and freshman Cole Bruns (five games played) have each seen time in net.
Gahagen is 3-5-1 with a 3.21 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage, while Bruns is 0-3-1 with a 3.18 goals-against average and a .886 save percentage.
THE ARMY SERIES
After not playing since the 1999-2000 season, the Friars and Black Knights will meet for a second-consecutive season on Tuesday night.
Last year, Providence posted a 4-1 win at Army's Tate Rink (Dec. 20, 2013).

Noel Acciari scored back-to-back third period, shorthanded tallies to pull away from Army en route to a 4-1 win at Tate Rink on Friday night (Dec. 20, 2013).
Freshman goaltender
Nick Ellis (Millersville, Md.) stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced to earn his second win of the season in his second career start.
Junior Rob Tadazak made 42 saves for Army, including 18 in the second period.
