The Providence College men's soccer team tied DePaul, 0-0, tonight at the Ray Treacy Track in Providence, R.I. With the result, the Friars moved to 6-5-2 (2-3-1 BIG EAST) on the season, while the Blue Demons moved to 3-11-1 (2-3-1 BIG EAST). The first half came to a close with Providence holding an advantage in shots (3-4) and corner kicks (2-1), but neither team were able to get on the board. During the second half, the Friars keptBlue Demon keeper Mack Robinson busy. Providence registered 14 shots to DePaul's eight. Robinson collected six of his 11 saves of the game during that period.
On the night, junior Mac Steeves (Needham, Mass.) had the most chances at notching a goal. All-in-all, Steeves registered 12 of the Friars' 24 shots throughout 110 minutes of play. Red-shirt sophomore Ben Seguljic (Rye Brook, N.Y.) and the Friar defense recorded their fifth shutout of the season with the 0-0 tie. Seguljic made a total of three saves on the night. Providence will return to action when they travel to Marquette for an 8:05 p.m. game on Wednesday, October 28. - GO FRIARS -
