PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The No. 4-seed Providence College men's soccer team was defeated by the No. 1-seed and 15th ranked Georgetown University Hoyas, 2-2, in the Semifinal Round of the 2025 BIG EAST Tournament. With the result, the Friars conclude their season with a 6-7-3. Georgetown moved to 11-3-4 and advances to the BIG EAST Championship Game to take on No. 3-seed UConn on Sunday, Nov.16 at 12:00 p.m.

GAME FLOWS & NOTES
• The Hoyas jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Mitchell Baker connected on a corner kick cross from Zach Zengue in the fourth minute (3:40).
• The Friars registered two shots on goal going into halftime and faced three attempts from the Hoyas.

Ryan Carney (Dunstable, Mass.) made two saves in the first half.
• Baker scored his second goal of the nightto double Georgetown's lead in the 70th minute on a centering pass from Mateo Ponce Ocamp. The goal marked Baker's third goal against the Friars this season.
• The Friars applied constant pressure, registering six shots in the second half.
• Carney finished with five saves marking his second-highest total of the season.
