PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's soccer team earned a crucial 2-2 draw against No. 11 Georgetown on Friday, Nov. 7 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. With the result, the Friars improved to 6-6-3 (4-2-2 BIG EAST), securing their spot in the 2025 BIG EAST Tournament — the program's 25th all-time appearance. Georgetown moved to 10-3-4 (6-0-2 BIG EAST). The Friars will match up again with the Hoyas in the semifinal round on Thursday, Nov. 13 at Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md.

• Georgetown opened up the scoring on a counter opportunity in the 25th minute when Mitchell Baker scored on a centering pass from Mateo Ponce Ocampo (24:12).
• Georgetown extended its lead when Zach Zengue finished on a rebound opportunity on an initial shot from David Urrutia to make it 2-0 (33:31).

Pearse O'Brien (West Hartford, Conn.). The goal marked Ventrella's first multi-goal-game of his career, and the assist marked O'Brien's sixth of the year.
• The Friars continued their pressure until the final whistle, controlling 57% of possession and outshooting Georgetown 16-6, including a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal.
