SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Providence College men's soccer team defeated BIG EAST opponent Seton Hall, 1-0 on Oct. 15.). The Friars, who have won four-straight games, improve to 8-5 and 3-2 in BIG EAST play, while Seton Hall drops to 3-9-1 and 1-4 in the BIG EAST.
Early in the match, Brendan Constantine (Glastonbury, Conn.) tallied his first goal as a Friar and was assisted by Julian Gressel (Neustdat an der Aisch, Germany). Gressel forced a Seton Hall turnover and crossed the ball to Constantine, who fired it past Seton Hall's Julian Spindler. Gressel's assist extends his point streak to four games.
Colin Miller (Bel Air, Md.) earned his seventh victory of the season, making two saves in the match. Miller now has five shutouts in his seven games played in the 2016 season.
The Friars outshot the Pirates, 17-11, including a 6-2 edge in shots on goal.
Providence will be back in action on Oct. 22 at DePaul University and are set to kick off at 2:00 p.m.
