- The Friars put out a solid effort to kick things off in the first period, battling the Eagles to a scoreless period and outshooting them by a 15-6 margin.

Matt Koopman each paced the Friars with three shots on goal in the opening stanza.
- Trevor Kuntar gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead with 21.1 seconds remaining in the second period after an initial highlight-reel stop by Mollot-Hill.
- Boston College extended its lead to 2-0 at 7:36 of the third period on Nikita Nesterenko's finish off a feed from Jack McBain.
