PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College sophomore forward
Nick Poisson (Vancouver, B.C.) was named Hockey East Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, November 15.
Poisson posted five assists over the Friars' two victories this weekend, assisting
Cam McDonald's overtime goal against AIC on Friday and adding four assists against UConn on Saturday night. All five of Poisson's assists this weekend were primary assists and he leads all Hockey East players with 12 assists overall this season. The sophomore also earned the recognition on Oct. 25 for a four-point third period against the University of Denver.
The Friars will travel up to Vermont this weekend for a two-game series at Gutterson Fieldhouse beginning Friday night (Nov. 19).
