PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College freshman defenseman
Austen May (Woodhaven, Mich.) was named Hockey East's Army ROTC Defender of the Week on Monday (Nov. 28).
May registered the first three goals of his NCAA career over the weekend, scoring twice in a 4-3 win over St. Lawrence on Friday night and adding another goal against Brown on Saturday night. May has skated in 10 games for the Friars this season, totaling three goals and a +3 rating. He is the third Friar defenseman to earn Defender of the Week accolades, joining
Taige Harding and
Max Crozier.
The 10
th-ranked Friars will face-off against Boston College in a home-and-home series beginning Friday night (Dec. 2) in Chestnut Hill.
