PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
Claire Tyo (Massena, N.Y.) of the Providence College women's hockey team was named Hockey East Army ROTC Defender of the Week on Monday, Dec. 12 for the first time this season.
On Saturday, Dec. 10, Tyo recorded the most points for the Friars against No. 3 Quinnipiac University. The Friars defeated the Bobcats, 3-2, with Tyo assisting on every Providence goal for a combined three points. Registering three points in a single game marks a new career-high for Tyo. She has tallied 11 points across the 21 games she has played in this season.

The Friars will kick off the second half of the season against the University of Vermont in a road series on Friday, Jan.6 and Saturday, Jan.7.
