BURLINGTON, VT. – The No.9 Providence College women's hockey team fell to the No.13 University of Vermont, 2-0, on Friday, Jan. 6 in Burlington, Vt. Sandra Abstreiter finished the night with 22 saves.

-The Catamounts struck first 1:17 into the first period when Lara Beecher scored on a fourth attempt for a 1-0 lead. Krista Parkkonen and Hailey Burns each earned an assist.
 
-Vermont carried the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

-Beecher scored Vermont's second and final goal, 2-0, of the night 1:36 into the third period. Lily Humphrey and Evelyne Blais-Savoie assisted the goal.
