PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's golf team returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.

Play begins Saturday morning with round one. The second and final round will be played Sunday. The field includes 15 other schools: Fairleigh Dickinson University, Fairfield University, Rutgers University, University of New Haven, Old Dominion University, LaSalle University, Stonehill College, University of Pennsylvania, Merrimack College, Saint Francis University, Monmouth University, U.S. Naval Academy, Lehigh University, Duquesne University and Saint Joseph's University.
This past week, Providence completed the two-day Le Moyne College Lady Dolphin Invitational at Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse, N.Y. The Friars placed eighth with a score of 685 (+117). Sophomore
Gwendolyn Yarnall (East Aurora, N.Y.) led Providence, tying for eighth overall with a two-round total of 161 (+19). The finish marks the first top-ten individual result in Providence College women's golf history. Freshman
Myla Bisceglia (Rye, N.Y.) carded three birdies in the final round, all on the front nine, to shoot an even 35. She finished the second round with a 78, her lowest score of the year, to move up 11 spots on the leaderboard.
The Friars finished the two-day Quinnipiac Classic on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn. The Friars finished 11th with a score of 687 (+111). Yarnall led Providence, tying for 27th place overall with a two-round total of 161 (+17).
Providence competed in the Sacred Heart Fall Classic at Great River Golf Club in Milford, Conn. on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The Friars finished 15th and sophomore Yarnall led the way for Providence, tying for 17th place overall at 237 (+21), the first top-20 finish for an individual Friar this season.
The Friars opened the season with the first ever women's golf tournament in Providence College history at the two-day Boston College Red Bandanna Invitational at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass. The Friars finished 14th in the 15-team field with a score of 1,016 (+152). Yarnall led Providence, tying for 40th overall at 237 (+21).
