Alex Rybakov Named Hockey East Army ROTC Defender Of The Week

Rybakov scored the game-winning goal on Friday night at UConn.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Hockey East announced on Monday (Nov. 10) that Providence College freshman defenseman Alex Rybakov (Chelyabinsk, Russia) was named Army ROTC Defender of the Week.
 
Rybakov scored his first NCAA goal in the Friars' 4-1 victory at UConn on Friday night. His highlight-reel end-to-end rush proved to be the game-winning strike for the Friars. Rybakov finished the weekend with four shots on goal, five blocks and a +1 rating.
 
The No. 15 Friars will host Merrimack to kick-off a home-and-home series with the Warriors on Friday night (Nov. 14) at Schneider Arena.
