Alex Millard Named BIG EAST Female Athlete Of The Week

Millard captured the 5,000 meters at the Raleigh Relays on March 28.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was announced on Tuesday, April 1 that Providence College graduate student Alex Millard (Kent, England) was named BIG EAST Outdoor Track Female Athlete of the Week. Millard, a two-time All-American, earned the honor after winning the 5,000 meters over 178 runners in a time of 15:27.02 at the Raleigh Relays, held at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility in Raleigh, N.C., on March 28. Millard currently is ranked first in the NCAA in the 5,000 meters.
The Friars will return to action on April 4 at the Ocean State Cup at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I.
