Men’s And Women’s Track And Field Compete At The Friar Invitational

Brett Lehman set the facility and school record in the 400 meters and Shannon Flockhart captured the mile.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.– The Providence College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Friar Invitational at the Ray Treacy Track at Hendricken Field in Providence, R.I., on Friday, April 11.

At the 2025 Friar Invitational, senior Brett Lehman (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) competed in the 400 meters. Lehman placed first in a time of 46.99 to set the program and facility record. He became the first Friar to run under 47 seconds in the 400.
Leading the Friar men in the 5,000 meters was graduate student Pat Thygesen (Brisbane, Australia) who won the race in a personal best time of 14:04.58. Senior Michael Morgan (Silgo, Ireland) placed fourth in a time of 14:17.08.
Junior Zane Powell (Auckland, New Zealand) was second in the 3,000 meters (8:15.68) and graduate student Liam Back (New Plymouth, New Zealand) was third in the 3,000 meters (8:17.99). Freshman Elliott Pugh (Tauranga, New Zealand) placed ninth in the 3,000 (8:40.24).
Freshman Tucker Anglemeyer (Winnetka, Ill.) finished third in the 100 meters (11.85) and the 200 meters (23.22).
Junior Kyle Bloomer (Darien, Conn.) placed second in the 400 (48.44). His time was a personal best. Also earning a second-place finish was freshman Tom Breen (Providence, R.I), who completed the 800 in a personal best time of 1:52.01.
Sophomore Tyler Bartlett (Fairfield, Conn.) was fourth in the mile in a personal best time of 4:05.29.
On the women's side, graduate student Shannon Flockhart (Cambridge, England) and graduate student Alex Millard (Kent, England) led the Friar women in the Mile. Flockhart finished first in a time of 4:34.96, followed by Millard, who placed second in a time of 4:36.12. Freshman Annie Mann (Hampshire, England) was third in a time of 4:46.56. Sophomore Kiera Hall (Christchurch, New Zealand) competed in the mile as well, as she finished eighth in a time of 4:50.98.
Sophomore Maeve O'Neill (Cork, Ireland) captured the 800 meters, time of 2:05.17. Also competing in the 800 meters was junior Cara Laverty (Derry, Ireland) placed fourth in a time of 2:09.14.
Freshman Anna Gardiner (Downpatrick, Northern Ireland) won the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:26.44. Junior Jane Buckley (Cork, Ireland) placed fourth (10:00.84).
Junior Niamh O'Mahony (Kerry, Ireland) finished second in the 5,000 meters (16:44.22).
Junior Jill Fenerty (Franklin, Mass.) placed second in the 400 (56.69) and freshman Chloe Higgins (Morristown, N.J.) was third (56.86).
Junior Charlotte Cousins (Madbury, N.H.) captured the 100 meters in a time of 12.96. Sophomore Maggie Kemper (Huntington, N.Y.) placed third in the 200 meters (26.47).
