The Friars finished 15th overall.
CAMARILLO, Calif. – The Providence College women's golf team completed the MSU SoCal Spring Invitational on Tuesday, March 9 at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo, Calif. The Friars placed 15th overall with a team score of 995 (+143). Sophomore Gwendolyn Yarnall (East Aurora, N.Y.) led Providence, finishing tied for 74th with a score of 241 (+28).
Nebraska won the team title with a score of 862 (+10) over three rounds. Providence carded a 334 in the opening round, a 333 in the second round and a 328 in the final round. Notre Dame's Alexsandra Lapple won the individual title with a score of 210 (-3).
Junior Olivia Arone (West Newton, Mass.) recorded four birdies across three rounds for the Friars, the most by any Providence player during the tournament. Arone finished tied for 78th with a score of 248 (+35).
