Yarnall And Bisceglia Finish Top-Five Individually; Friars Place Third Overall At Stonehill Senior Showdown

Gwendolyn Yarnall finished tied for third while Myla Bisceglia earned fifth.

BROCKTON, Mass. – The Providence College women's golf team completed the Stonehill Senior Showdown on Wednesday, April 15, at D.W. Field Golf Course in Brockton, Mass. The Friars placed third overall with a team score of 304 (+24). Sophomore Gwendolyn Yarnall (East Aurora, N.Y.) finished tied for third with a score of 71 (+1), while freshman Myla Bisceglia (Rye, N.Y.) placed fifth with a 73 (+3). The result is both Yarnall and Bisceglia's best-ever finishes. The team finish of third overall is also the highest finish the Friars have earned this season.

Bryant won the team title, while Bryant's Jenelle Valera and Stonehill's Kenna Roman tied for the individual title with an even round of 70.
 
Yarnall was one shot off the lead on the 18th hole and had a birdie putt to tie, but finished with a par. The sophomore recorded five birdies throughout the round, one on a par five, three on par fours and one on a par three.
 
Bisceglia's fifth-place finish is the best of her career and her highest since the Lady Dolphin Invitational in October. The freshman recorded one birdie and 14 pars in the round.
